Local visitor attractions and amenities include the watermill, Long Meg stone circle and Lacys Cave, all at Little Salkeld, the pub and village bakery at Melmerby, fishing at Blencarn and the cafe at the top of Hartside is a bracing 2 hour walk. 20 minutes drive to the Lakes.
