Accommodation
Swift Cottage is a delightful property full of character and charm and offers a high standard of accommodation. It is positioned in the picturesque village of Great Broughton just a couple of miles from the historic market town of Stokesley. It dates back to the 1800s and used to be a jet miners cottage. Jet is forever associated with Whitby where workshops were established to convert the semi precious stone into jewellery. Just a mile outside the North York Moors National Park and overlooking Cringle Moor and the famous Wain Stones on the Cleveland Way, Swift Cottage is an ideal base for dog walkers and keen ramblers. Other spectacular walks can be found close by at Roseberry Topping, Kildale (Captain Cooks Monument) and Carlton Bank. Travelling slightly further afield you can appreciate other beautiful areas within the National Park, explore market towns such as Helmsley or the coastal resorts of Staithes and Whitby for a trip to the seaside. There are also fast road routes for day trips to York and Durham. This lovely cottage is ideally situated to enable you to explore everything the North York Moors area has to offer.
