Swallow Cottage is nestled in the beautiful Esk Valley with stunning views over Westerdale and open countryside. This former barn has been lovingly converted into a warm spacious cottage retaining its original features like the exposed stone wall and beautiful beamed ceilings. It has been furnished and decorated to a particularly high standard and is an ideal setting for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. There are some excellent pathways in the area for keen ramblers and dog owners, direct from your front door. A scenic drive along the country roads takes you to some pretty villages dotted around the North Yorkshire Moors, and also to the historic port of Whitby, with its quaint cobbled streets, magnificent Abbey and not to mention its famous Fish and Chips. The Victorian seaside town of Saltburn is only a short drive away, with its golden sandy beach and lovely promenade, ideal for a stroll on a warm summer evening. The North Yorkshire Moors steam train is a great day for everyone, travelling from Whitby to the market town of Pickering stopping at Grosmont and Goathland (also known as Heartbeat Country) along the way.
