This cosy oak beamed cottage dates back to the 17th Century and is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of 21st Century life. The cottage has breathtaking views over open fields towards Bassenthwaite Lake, Catbells and the Borrowdale Valley beyond. Immediately behind the cottage is a wood with wildlife including birds of prey and red squirrels and, from the top, a sensational view of Skiddaw and the surrounding fells. Bassenthwaite is a peaceful farming village with a stream running through. Osprey Cottage is a half a mile from the village where the Sun Inn serves bar meals and real ale.
