Directly opposite Hayes Garden World and close to the Lake shore, Loughrigg Hide provides a pleasant view from all windows and sits in a level location, perfect for a gentle amble before dinner to work up an appetite prior to sampling one of the many excellent restaurants in Ambleside followed perhaps by a drink at a couple of the local pubs. The village has retained many ancient traditions over the years, the Rush Bearing and Annual Lakeland Sports taking place during July whilst the more recent Christmas Tree Lights and Lantern Procession are held at the end of November each year.
