From this convenient base there is access directly onto both Blencathra and the Skiddaw range, or across the valley to St Johns in the Vale and the surrounding fells. Excellent food is available in the Horse and Farrier and pub grub in the Salutation inn, both within 400 yards. The vibrant town of Keswick is only 3 miles and can be reached on foot by walking along the old railway line, here you will discover a wealth of amenities and visitor attractions.
