Underbarrow is a delightful village in the Lyth Valley, with Crook and Crosthwaite nearby, and is a superb location from which to explore the delights of the Lake District National Park. A short, scenic drive will bring you to both Windermere and Bowness and the medieval market town of Kendal can be reached in just as many minutes. The area offers some excellent walking and cycling opportunities for all ages and abilities and there are plenty of country pubs in which to quench your thirst. The recently refurbished local inn, The Punchbowl, offers great bar meals.
