Surrounded by mountains including Glaramara, Scafell, Great Gable and with Dovenest Crag directly opposite from which it gains its name. Borrowdale is a walkers paradise and is commonly described as Englands most beautiful valley and also home to the Queen of the English Lakes, Derwentwater. The bustling town of Keswick with its many amenities is 7 miles and the nearest pub and shop are in Rosthwaite, approx 1 mile.
