A walkers paradise, Troutbeck offers walks for all abilities and being only a few miles from both Ambleside and Windermere, a host of other attractions and amenities can be reached by car, public transport or foot. This traditional Lakeland hamlet retains the original post office and general store and two good country pubs are within walking distance, The Mortal Man and The Queens, both serving local ales and home cooked fayre.
