Description

Accommodation
A true rural hideaway, Waggoners Cottage is a beautiful, beamed, fairytale, detached holiday cottage tucked away in a quiet corner of a 600-acre working arable farm. Originally built in the 17th-century, and once a farm worker’s cottage, it has been restored to a high standard. The River Rother, a popular fishing and bird-watching spot, is a walk across the fields. An unpaved road leads first to the farmyard and then into the village with its pubs and locally renowned supermarket. The Cinque Ports of Rye (4 miles), and Tenterden, a traditional market town (10 miles), the coast at Camber Sands, Sissinghurst, Bateman’s, Great Dixter Gardens and Bodiam Castle are all accessible. Shop ¾ mile. Living room with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace, tiled floor and step up to dining area. Galley-style kitchen with butler sink, tiled floor and utility area. Bathroom with shower attachment, over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Large double bedroom with farmland views.
