Historic Battle is a short drive away; visit the medieval market town, enjoy a cream tea and see the abbey ruins originally built by William the Conqueror. Hastings offers freshly landed fish for supper, or explore the smugglers’ caves. Eastbourne is approximately 15 miles for a stroll along the pier or head towards the South Downs and see the iconic cliffs at Beachy Head. NT properties and gardens abound and there are plenty of walks from the doorstep. Shop 2½ miles, pub 1½ miles. Open-plan, beamed living room/dining room with wood-burning stove, kitchen area.
